Dog macht unerwünschte Annäherungsversuche an Rose, James sieht das und rennt zu seinem Vater. Als Vergeltung tötet Dog James' Welpen, woraufhin er und sein Vater aus dem Howlett-Anwesen geworfen werden. Thomas Logan fühlt sich ungerecht behandelt und zwingt Rose, ihm zu helfen, sich in das Schlafgemach der Howletts zu schleichen. John ertappt Thomas bei dem Versuch, seine Frau zu entführen. Durch den Tumult angelockt, kommt James um zu sehen, wie Thomas seinem Vater in den Kopf schießt. Als James auf Thomas losgeht, kommen Knochenkrallen aus seinen Handrücken hervor und er ersticht Thomas.
