Joe Simon's cover work gives the scene a crisp, procedural tension that suits America's most famous plainclothes cop perfectly. With Tracy stories written, drawn, and lettered entirely by Gould, this 1955 issue promises the kind of sharp crime-fiction craftsmanship that made the strip a household name.

While Kincaid tries to thwart the blackmail plot of his ex-wife and 3-D Magee, Tracy sends a photo of 3-D to the police network. Posing as an ice cream vendor, 3-D gives Sparkle and Wings some ice cream and at the same time leaves some rare Peruvian ants, which bite the children and make them violently ill. Sam tracks down an antidote. 3-D Magee begins building a special vest that he says will help him extort more money from Kincaid Plenty.
