Ellen, the literary editor of a newspaper, falls in love with author Vance Foreman, although they’ve never met. When Vance comes to town on a book tour, she interviews him and they kiss. Invited to a weekend party at the home of Vance’s publisher, Ellen overhears Julia say she’s the one who wrote Vance’s books. Ellen writes a scathing exposè, then learns Vance’s most recent book—where he declared his love for her—was written by him, personally. Fortunately, Ellen’s editor changed her story and kept Vance’s secret. She and Vance will wed.
