With Moon Boy caught between his people and the threat of the Riders, the tide turns when he rallies the Small-Folk to outwit the invaders through clever traps and daring tactics. Kirby’s bold art, enhanced by Mike Royer’s inks and P. Goldberg’s colors, captures the raw energy of the battle, while Walter Simonson’s cover perfectly frames the ferocity of the conflict.

As Moon Boy tries to reconnect with his people the Small-Folk, The Dino Riders (cavemen who resemble the Killer-Folk but wear reptile skins and use Dinosaurs as mounts), attack Devil Dinosaur hoping to break him and use him as a mount. Led by their leader Gray-Tooth, they almost succeed, until Moon Boy is able to rally the Small-Folk against the Dino Riders and defeat them by luring them into various traps (falling into a bog, crashing into a boulder, falling off of a cliff). Now freed, Devil sets his sites on Gray-Tooth killing his mount, before killing him.
