“Robin the Boy Wonder”

"Robin the Boy Wonder" is a standout story in the Detective Comics Facsimile Edition series, capturing the classic tone of the Golden Age with a fresh, grounded take. Written and illustrated by Chad Grothkopf, this tale follows Cliff and Dr. Broussard as they crash-land in the Arctic and encounter the mysterious Sabu Kingdom—where indigenous people thrive in extreme cold, thanks to a strange, life-sustaining serum. The cover, a striking homage by Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson, perfectly evokes the era’s adventurous spirit.
