Part of DC's New 52 initiative, Demon Knights #4 (2012) promises to pull back the curtain on the Shining Knight with a story billed as her "Secret Origin." The cover by Michael Choi is a striking image: a warrior in golden chainmail and striped armor strains against a blood-red, storm-wracked sky, thrusting a heavy broadsword skyward with fierce determination, a lone dark bird circling in the turbulent clouds above. Written by Paul Cornell with interior art by Diógenes Neves and Oclair Albert, this medieval DC adventure continues to be one of the New 52's most distinctively mythic titles.
