This 1960 Dell Giant takes Walt Disney's beloved characters on a sun-soaked trip to Disneyland U.S.A., with the snow-capped Matterhorn towering at the center of a wonderfully busy cover by penciler Paul Murry and inker Norm McGary. Donald Duck pilots a colorful watercraft in the foreground, Mickey Mouse shoots down the Matterhorn Bobsleds in the middle distance, and Huey, Dewey, and Louie ride a Skyway gondola overhead — with Sleeping Beauty Castle peeking through the haze at left. At a generous 25 cents, this oversized issue captures the magic and optimism of the park in its early years with genuine charm.
