This penultimate issue of Image's post-apocalyptic series arrives with a cover by Andrea Broccardo that's genuinely unsettling in the best way — a smirking, well-dressed man looms large against a backdrop of massive writhing tentacles, while a group of tiny figures scrambles desperately across his outstretched hand and chest. The scale play alone tells you everything about the power dynamics at work in "Upheaval and Ultimatums," with Mirka Andolfo and David Goy's series heading toward its finale. Broccardo's linework and Barbara Nosenzo's deep crimson and green palette give the whole image a creeping, cosmic-dread atmosphere that fans of the series won't want to miss.
