Deathstroke #3
Part of DC's New 52 initiative and dated February 2015, this third issue of Deathstroke puts Slade Wilson front and center in full armored regalia — half-orange, half-black mask gleaming beneath a pale moon — wielding a sword and assault rifle amid a visceral storm of blood spatters and what appear to be severed limbs scattered across the ground. Tony S. Daniel, pulling double duty as both writer and cover artist (with inks by Sandu Florea and colors by Tomeu Morey), delivers a cover that radiates brutal confidence, framing Deathstroke as a force of controlled devastation. With a story titled "Family Values," the juxtaposition of that domestic phrase against this carnage-soaked image promises something sharp and darkly compelling inside.
