The fifth chapter of "And Then You Live!" arrives from WildStorm with a cover that speaks volumes through a single striking image: a blood-streaked hand raised in a peace sign, rendered against the red, white, and blue stripes and stars of an American flag. Carlos D'Anda's cover art turns a symbol of hope into something far more unsettling, the contradiction between that familiar gesture and the dark stains dripping down the wrist doing all the storytelling it needs to. With Brian Azzarello and D'Anda continuing their run on Deathblow, this 2007 series keeps proving it has a sharp eye for imagery that lingers.
