Deadpool / Wolverine #6
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeDeadpool/Wolverine #6 occupies the structural midpoint of Benjamin Percy's ten-issue 'A Time of Stryfe' arc — the first ongoing series to unite the two characters under a single title in the post-Krakoa era, launched directly in the wake of the massively popular 2024 film. The issue advances the series' central horror: Apocalypse, having taken Stryfe as a psychic host, driving a mind-controlled Wolverine forward with a civilization-ending 'Legacy 2.0' bioweapon scheme while Deadpool scrambles to find a counter-plan. As the story crosses its halfway mark here, Percy accelerates the moral stakes of the entire run — forcing both anti-heroes deeper into complicity with an apocalyptic agenda they cannot yet escape. The issue also introduces the minor character Rickey, whose first and only appearance (she dies within the same issue) underscores Percy's use of civilian casualties to raise the arc's human cost.

The broader Deadpool/Wolverine (2025) series was launched in January 2025 by writer Benjamin Percy and artist Joshua Cassara — a creative team Marvel had been cultivating through Percy's long X-Force and Wolverine runs — capitalizing on the cultural momentum of the summer 2024 film. Percy had survived a significant Marvel editorial restructuring at the close of the Krakoa era and carried his Wolverine tenure directly into this new ongoing under editor Mark Basso. For issue #6 specifically, regular interior artist Joshua Cassara handed pencil-and-ink duties to Robert Gill (who also drew #7), while Cassara maintained his role as cover artist for the issue, with Whilce Portacio and Simone Bianchi providing variant covers.
