Deadpool vs. Wolverine: Slash 'Em Up #1
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeDeadpool vs. Wolverine: Slash 'Em Up #1 holds a meaningful place in the history of Marvel's digital-to-print publishing pipeline: it marks the first time the complete six-part Deadpool vs. Wolverine: Slash 'Em Up Infinity Comic series — originally produced as a Marvel Unlimited exclusive — was collected and released as a single, saddle-stitched print one-shot available in the direct market. Its arrival in March 2025 represents part of a broader editorial strategy Marvel has pursued to bridge its subscription-digital readership with the traditional comic-shop audience, and it stands as a direct companion piece to the cultural wave surrounding the Marvel Studios theatrical release of Deadpool & Wolverine. The story itself leans hard into the comedic-ultraviolent chemistry that defines the duo's long history together, pushing their shared healing-factor mythology further than most mainstream comic outings dare.

The underlying story originated in summer 2024 as a six-issue Marvel Unlimited Infinity Comic series — a format native to vertical, panel-by-panel digital scrolling — written by Christos Gage and drawn by Alan Robinson, with colors by Carlos Lopez and lettering by Joe Sabino. Marvel announced in December 2024 that all six digital chapters would be bundled into a single print one-shot, timed to coincide with the afterglow of the Deadpool & Wolverine film and cheekily released on March 26, 2025 — the week of 'April Pool's Day.' The print edition was edited by Mark Basso under Tom Brevoort's X-office umbrella, and featured an entirely new cover by Ron Lim (with colors by Israel Silva) plus a variant cover by Mark Bagley, neither of which appeared in the original digital run.
