Deadpool vs. Carnage #3

Carnage looms enormous and terrifying over a pinned-down Deadpool on this Glenn Fabry cover, the symbiote's writhing tendrils coiling across the entire composition in shades of deep crimson. The contrast between Deadpool's wide-eyed, almost cartoonish mask and Carnage's snarling, fang-filled visage above him makes for a genuinely unsettling image — the Merc with a Mouth looking, for once, like he might actually be in trouble. Cullen Bunn and Salva Espín's 2014 series keeps the tension cranked high heading into its third chapter.
