Deadpool v Gambit #4

The fourth issue of this 2016 Marvel miniseries leans hard into its own self-aware humor — the cover speech bubbles cheekily promise "virtually no…" and "even less…" of something, perfectly capturing the book's irreverent tone. Deadpool and Gambit flank the edges of the cover, eyes fixed on a chaotic center scene where Wolverine, a suited man, and a woman with a weapon are tangled in a glowing, smoky skirmish. Kevin Wada's watercolor-inflected art gives the whole thing a surprisingly elegant warmth that plays beautifully against the comedic fourth-wall gags.
