Deadpool rides into action atop It! The Living Colossus in this wildly entertaining 2010 team-up from Marvel, with the merc in red brandishing a sword and sidearm while the massive purple behemoth tears through a cityscape below him. The cover by Humberto Ramos captures the sheer absurdity and energy of this pairing perfectly — Deadpool perched like a jockey on a skyscraper-sized monster is exactly the kind of inspired chaos this series delivers. Writer Christopher Long and artist Dalibor Talajić, with coloring by Tomislav Tikulin, round out a creative team that clearly knows how to make the most of the Merc with a Mouth's anything-goes universe.

Nadia O'Bryan (the niece of Bob O'Bryan) hires Deadpool to help her find It! The Living Colossus, who disappeared in the Galapagos Islands during a battle with Dr.Doom. During that battle, Bob's mind had gotten lost, turning him into a wheelchair bound comatose. After the statue is located, Deadpool and Nadia are attacked in their submersible by giant prehistoric crustaceans. During the attack, Bob's mind is restored to his body and he is able to return his mind into the Colossus, using the statue to destroy the monsters.
