Deadpool Team-Up #883
What a pairing — Deadpool and Galactus, the Devourer of Worlds, sharing a cover that somehow makes the cosmos feel both enormous and absurdly playful. Skottie Young's cover art captures Deadpool mid-leap above a massive, dazed-looking Galactus, with a half-consumed planet nearby serving as a cosmic snack in progress. With Young writing and Ramón Pérez on interior art, this 2011 team-up promises the kind of irreverent energy that only the Merc with a Mouth could bring to a galaxy-scale situation.

Out of cash and out of options (meaning no super baddies are hiring at the moment), Deadpool answers a classified ad and becomes the next Herald of Galactus. He is pretty good at his job but his incessant nattering tries the patience of even all-powerful cosmic entities. When the Silver Surfer shows up to bust on him for his world dooming actions (see, I told you he was good at his job), Deadpool quits and heads back to earth where he joins a very special support group.
