Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe #3

This 2012 miniseries keeps raising the stakes, and issue #3's cover by Kaare Andrews makes a striking case for just how far gone Deadpool has become — the Merc with a Mouth strides through a scene of fire and wreckage, dangling Wolverine's distinctive mask from one hand and clutching a blade in the other, the bold yellow "3" looming behind him like a tally mark. It's a painterly, unsettling image that captures the series' darkly audacious premise with real craft. Cullen Bunn, Dalibor Talajić, and Lee Loughridge continue their blood-spattered collaboration here, and the parental advisory stamp is, for once, entirely warranted.
