This 2014 annual from Marvel delivers one of the most delightfully absurd cover premises imaginable: Deadpool — scarred face, twin katanas strapped to his back, wearing a Spider-Man costume — glances back over his shoulder with a mischievous grin and a "Shh." fingertip gesture, as if daring you to ask questions. David Nakayama's painted cover work is sharp and characterful, perfectly capturing Wade Wilson's particular brand of chaotic charm. With Christopher Hastings writing and Jacopo Camagni on art, "Spideypool" promises a team-up that's as entertaining as its cover suggests.
