Deadpool #5

Part five of the "Wreckless Wade" arc delivers one of the more memorably unsettling covers of 2018: Nic Klein renders a grotesquely decomposed Deadpool — mask half-disintegrated, exposed flesh swarming with flies — licking a red lollipop while a cheerful "Trick or Treat" speech bubble floats nearby. The bubblegum logo font clashing against Klein's viscerally painted horror is exactly the kind of gleeful contradiction that makes Deadpool so compelling. Skottie Young, Scott Hepburn, and Ian Herring bring the interior while Klein's cover practically dares you to peel back that "Peel Here" sticker and find out what Wade Wilson is up to this time.
