Deadpool #6

There's something quietly poignant about this cover — a fully-armed, black-suited Deadpool trudging alone through a bustling city street, a small rain cloud hovering directly over his head while the colorful crowd parts around him, indifferent. Nic Klein's painterly artwork wraps the scene in warm neon glow, surrounding Wade with cheerfully absurd storefront signs advertising chimichangas, swords, and sundries that feel very much in his world, even as he looks utterly isolated within it. Issue #6 of Skottie Young's 2019 run delivers a cover that balances the character's trademark humor with a genuinely melancholy touch.
