Deadpool strikes his best suave-spy pose on Kevin Nowlan's cover for issue #49, dressed in a white suit and wielding a pistol while four admiring women — including a blonde in a slinky dress and a nurse in white — crowd around him. The title "Cat Magnet" says it all: Wade Wilson is leaning hard into his own delusions of charm here, and the cover sells the comedic premise with genuine style. Writers Jimmy Palmiotti and Buddy Scalera, along with artist Michael Lopez, deliver what looks to be one of Deadpool's more entertainingly self-aware outings from 2001.
