Deadpool #14

The cover tagline says it all — "Sometimes the past comes back to haunt you… And it's dressed like a pimp" — and Kris Anka's moody, noir-tinged artwork delivers on that promise with three imposing figures looming over a flamboyantly dressed, red-haired figure whose hands are bound behind their back. Deadpool dominates the upper right, katana at the ready, while a caped figure and a powerfully built man flank the scene in deep shadow, giving the whole composition a delicious sense of menace and absurdity in equal measure. Posehn, Duggan, Koblish, and Staples bring their signature blend of action and irreverent humor to this 2013 chapter of Wade Wilson's ongoing misadventures.
