Part of the "Destined of X" line, this 2023 relaunch drops the Merc with a Mouth right into his element — lounging casually on a giant watermelon pool float, surrounded by a ring of very unconscious bodies, and quipping "Literal enough for you?" straight at the reader. Martin Coccolo's cover perfectly captures Deadpool's singular brand of cheerful mayhem, with swords on his back, guns on his belt, and not a care in the world. Writer Alyssa Wong kicks things off with a story titled "Meat Cute," and if that title is any indication, this fresh chapter in Wade Wilson's Marvel life is going to be equal parts absurd and sharp.
