The Marvel NOW! era kicks off with a bang as Deadpool dual-wields pistols mid-air, firing directly into the gaping maw of a massive green kaiju-like monster looming over a city skyline — with an improbable swarm of dogs caught between them for good measure. Cover artist Geof Darrow brings his signature dense, chaotic energy to the image, cramming it with flying shell casings, scattered weaponry, and a giant clawed hand reaching in from the left for maximum absurdist mayhem. Writers Brian Posehn and Gerry Duggan launch their run alongside artist Tony Moore and colorist Val Staples with "In Wade We Trust" — a creative team that clearly has no intention of playing it straight.
