IDW's Dead Seas reaches its sixth issue with a cover that's equal parts grotesque and mesmerizing — a decaying central figure dominates the composition, her skull split open in a swirling mass of viscera and tendrils, clutching a dripping teacup with an eerie calm. Flanking her are two ghoulish green-tinged faces that hint at a world thoroughly overrun by undead horror. Writer Cavan Scott and artist Nick Brokenshire have crafted one of 2023's most unsettling horror series, and this cover makes a strong case that the book hasn't lost a step.
