Dead of Night Featuring Man-Thing #3

Marvel's MAX imprint horror series reaches its third chapter with a cover that commands immediate attention — Man-Thing looms enormous against a backdrop of roiling flames, his glowing red eyes and massive green form rendered with unsettling intensity by cover artist Kaare Andrews. Medallion portraits along the left side spotlight the human players Jacob, Jeff, and Digger, a trio who look like they've already had a very bad night. Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa's "No Such Thing" promises exactly the kind of mature, dread-soaked storytelling you'd expect from a limited series bold enough to headline one of Marvel's most genuinely frightening creatures.
