Dead of Night #2
In "He Walks with a Ghost!", Stan Lee and Sid Greene deliver a chilling tale of eerie inheritance and restless graves. When a ruthless thug takes over an estate with a hidden cemetery, his attempt to clear the land unleashes something far more terrifying than he bargained for—especially when the steam shovel he’s using starts moving on its own. The haunting atmosphere and sharp, expressive art by Greene, combined with the eerie cover by Harry Anderson and Marie Severin, make this 1974 Marvel gem a standout in the horror genre.

A thug inherits an estate that has a cemetery on it so he hires a steam shovel to dig it up. When the worker uncovers human remains, he runs away frightened. The thug gets up into the cab himself to disinter the remains, but grows weary with the work after awhile and sits down under a tree to sleep. He is woken by the sound of the steam shovel but is puzzled as to who could be driving it. It bears down upon him and just before the claw descends, he sees corpses through the cab window.
