De verbijsterende Hulk #26
In "De macht van Dr. Doom," Bruce Banner finds himself caught between the law and a far more dangerous game when he’s abducted by Dr. Doom’s limo and spirited to the Latverian embassy. With Ross and his troops on the scene, Doom unleashes a Hulk robot to distract them—only for Bruce to face a new threat when Doom attempts to control him with a subliminal inducer. Written by Roy Thomas and illustrated by Dick Ayers, with inks by John Severin, this 1982 issue features a striking cover by Bob Budiansky and Jack Abel.

As Bruce is being pursued by the police, he is picked up by Dr. Doom's limo and taken to the Latverian embassy. When Ross and his contingent of soldiers show up to ask Doom to relinquish his guest, he releases a Hulk robot instead. The army quickly destroys the robot, thinking they have done away with the real thing; Bruce bristles at the thought of having Doom as his savior so the villain gasses him and takes him back to Latveria. Doom uses his "subliminal inducer" on Banner, hoping to make both he and his monstrous alter-ego his willing servants.
