“The Rule of Five Part I”

Darth Vader strides into what appears to be a dimly lit cantina or underworld establishment, red lightsaber ignited and cape sweeping behind him, while a crowd of aliens and assorted beings fills the surrounding tables and an upper mezzanine — all of them clearly unprepared for this particular guest. The atmospheric tension of the cover, rendered by Giuseppe Camuncoli, does a masterful job of conveying just how thoroughly the Dark Lord dominates any room he enters. Charles Soule kicks off "The Rule of Five" with this striking 2018 issue, and if the cover is any indication, Vader's agenda here is anything but social.
