Darkwing Duck #17

Darkwing Duck finds himself in a tight spot in issue #17 from Boom! Studios' 2011 run — the cover by James Silvani shows the caped crime-fighter clutching his gas gun while completely surrounded by a ring of grinning, menacing bear thugs, all bearing numbered tags, with a large, bow-tied villain looming triumphantly at their center. "Dangerous Currency Part 2" promises the tension is already at full boil, and Silvani's energetic art packs every inch of the composition with colorful peril. A great chapter in this fan-favorite series for anyone who loves their superhero comedy with genuine stakes.
