Darkwing Duck #1

St. Canard's favorite caped crimefighter is back — this 2010 Boom! Studios series kicks off with issue #1, and the cover sets the mood perfectly: Darkwing Duck looms large in his signature wide-brimmed hat and purple cape, glowering with unmistakable intensity against a glowing full moon and the cables of a gothic suspension bridge tower. Magic Eye Studio's cover art captures the character's blend of brooding vigilante attitude and cartoon charm in equal measure. With Ian Brill writing, James Silvani on art and inks, and colors by Andrew Dalhouse, "The Duck Knight Returns, Part 1" looks like a genuinely exciting return for the terror that flaps in the night.
