Part two of three in "The Cursed," this 2000 Marvel miniseries puts Darkdevil front and center in a cover by Ron Frenz and Al Milgrom that crackles with menace — a massive, glowering Darkdevil looms over a chaotic scene where a snarling, flame-wreathed creature squares off against a purple-costumed figure, while a white-bearded elder watches from the sidelines. The composition packs in a striking range of characters and raw energy, promising that the story building toward its conclusion is anything but simple.
