Dark Tower: Treachery #2
Stephen King's Dark Tower saga continues its Marvel adaptation with this second chapter of Treachery, and Jae Lee's cover art alone makes a compelling case for the series. A young woman in profile holds a revolver aloft with quiet intensity, a second gun holstered at her hip, all set against a warm, smoldering gradient of orange and red that feels equal parts beautiful and ominous. Peter David and Robin Furth bring King's world to the page, and with Jae Lee's atmospheric pencils and Richard Isanove's rich colors, this 2008 limited series maintains a visual style as haunting as the story it surrounds.
