The witch-hunter Reverend Trask arrives in Collinsport. Seeing Barnabas outside at night, Sarah goes after him but is caught in a rainstorm and later dies of pneumonia. Barnabas later comes to Josette and tells her that he is now an undead vampire, but she runs from him and jumps off Widows' Hill, killing herself to avoid submitting to him.
