Dark Mysteries #7 is an anthology containing two main stories. "Terror of the Cards of Death" follows a distinguished figure named Arthur Cartwright who is murdered, with the case leading to an immigrant named Hans Balore who arrives in America and becomes entangled in political intrigue involving a District Attorney named Warren. "The Eyes of Death" and "The Vampire Corpse" feature supernatural tales involving astronomers at an observatory and voodoo magic, where characters become victims of otherworldly forces and mystical curses. A separate story depicts a painting expedition in Africa where Paul encounters a voodun practitioner who uses magic to interfere in romantic relationships and attempts to destroy his rival's image.
