Dennis Calero's sharp-dressed protagonist dominates this issue's striking retro cover — a cool, sharp-jawed man in a blue suit inspects a handgun with unsettling calm, while a bloodied, menacing figure looms in the shadowy background beside a palm tree. This 2015 installment of Dark Horse Presents — a three-time 2014 award winner (Eisner, Harvey, and Stumptown Comic Arts) — leads with Calero's "Bad Day at the Office, Chapter One," and packs in 48 pages of additional stories including Ken Pisani's Geekie Award-winning Colonus and Brent Schoonover's Burial Brothers. It's a genuinely impressive anthology package, and that cover alone sets a mood that's all business — in the most dangerous sense of the phrase.
