Written by Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray, with art by Paul Gulacy, the story follows Daredevil and the Punisher as their conflicting methods of justice collide over a mysterious conspiracy in Hell's Kitchen. The volume also includes a selection of classic Daredevil/Punisher team-ups from the 1990s, providing context for their long-standing rivalry.
In "The Big Squeeze," Hammerhead’s crew sets a trap for the Punisher, but even their best efforts can’t stop him. Daredevil arrives to confront Hammerhead, and when both heroes reach one of the mob’s men at once, their clash is cut short by an assassin sent by the Jackal to take down the Punisher.
In "Victory Now!", Daredevil and the Punisher set aside their long-standing feud to take down Bushwacker, uniting in a moment of uneasy cooperation. When the Punisher steals military ordnance to destroy Hammerhead’s stronghold, he’s left stunned when Daredevil reveals he’s already secured both Hammerhead and the Jackal—leaving the Punisher with nothing left to blow up.
In "Over the Line," Daredevil and the Punisher find themselves at odds as the Jackal, now imprisoned, begins manipulating the mob from behind bars. While Daredevil seeks to stop the crime wave through justice and restraint, the Punisher's relentless campaign of violence spirals out of control—leading to a devastating moment when an innocent bystander is caught in the crossfire.
In "The Unraveling," the Punisher, wounded and teetering on the edge of madness, takes on a desperate mission to shield a grieving boy whose family was slaughtered by the mob—only to find himself hunted by both the police and the very forces he’s sworn to destroy. With Daredevil closing in and his own mind fraying, every choice feels like a step deeper into chaos.
In "The Second Chance...", the Punisher, cornered by both the mob and the police, faces off against Daredevil in a final, brutal clash as the vigilante tries to stop Frank’s escalating bloodshed. Captured and imprisoned, Frank finds himself behind bars with one of his oldest foes— the Jackal— setting the stage for a tense, unpredictable reckoning.
