Daredevil vs. Punisher #4

Nov 2005 · Marvel · 2.99 USD; 4.25 CAD
“Over the Line”

In "Over the Line," Daredevil and the Punisher clash once more as the Jackal, now imprisoned, manipulates the mob from behind bars. With Frank's brutal methods escalating and Daredevil trying to stop the violence, the line between justice and vengeance grows dangerously thin—especially after a tragic mistake leaves an innocent life in ruins. Written and illustrated by Dave Lapham, with cover art by Lapham, this 2005 issue captures a tense, morally fraught showdown where both heroes push their limits in a city teetering on the edge.

With Hammerhead and the Jackal now in prison, the Jackal turns on his old partner and begins to run the mob from his cell. Daredevil and the Punisher both try to quell the Jackal's influence on crime in their own particular ways. With Frank still killing everyone even remotely linked to the Jackal, Daredevil battles him again and during the fight, the Punisher goes wild and accidentally shoots an innocent bystander.
