“No Devils, Only God, Part 2”

In "No Devils, Only God, Part 2," Daredevil #7 (2019) continues to weave tension through the quiet moments and quiet guilt of Matthew Murdock’s life. As a parole officer, he’s forced to confront the past when Leo Carraro, brother of a man he accidentally killed, shows up unannounced in his office—while Kingpin, believing Daredevil dead, begins plotting a new, more dangerous course. Written by Chip Zdarsky and illustrated by Lalit Kumar Sharma, with inks by Jay Leisten and colors by Java Tartaglia, the issue’s haunting mood is matched by Chip Zdarsky’s own striking cover art.

The bookstore owner, Mindy Libris, is still on Matthew's mind as he presents Foggy with the book she acquired for his birthday. Believing that Daredevil is dead, Kingpin moves to extricate himself from the workings of lower crimes in the city and sets his sights on a larger game plan. Matthew, as a parole officer, is faced with the sudden and unwitting appearance in his office of the brother of the man he accidentally killed a few months ago, Leo Carraro.
