Part of Marvel's 2014 Original Sin crossover, this issue presents one of the more quietly unsettling covers of the year — Chris Samnee's artwork depicts a lone nun in black habit cradling a swaddled infant in red, surrounded on all sides by a sea of praying blue-robed nuns against a stark black background. The contrast between that single central figure and the repeating, almost hypnotic crowd around her creates a genuinely eerie sense of isolation and mystery. Inside, Mark Waid scripts with art from Javier Rodríguez and inks by Álvaro López, a creative team that consistently brought sharp, expressive energy to this run.
