Daredevil #35
Chris Samnee's cover for this 2014 Marvel issue is genuinely unsettling in the best way — a massive, grasping hand pins a screaming, helpless Daredevil at its center, surrounded by pulsing concentric red rings that evoke the hero's radar sense turned against him. The stark black background and Javier Rodríguez's deep crimson and violet palette make the image feel both visceral and stylish, perfectly capturing a Man Without Fear pushed to his absolute limit. Mark Waid and Samnee were clearly firing on all cylinders here, and this cover alone makes a compelling case to pick up the issue.
