Daredevil #27

Chris Samnee's cover for this 2013 Marvel issue is a striking piece of graphic design — a suited, bow-tied figure stands atop a bullseye target, viewed from above, while Daredevil's masked face looms enormous and shadowy beneath him, white eyes gleaming upward. The red-and-black color scheme radiates tension, with the Man Without Fear's title treatment arcing boldly across the top. Mark Waid and Samnee were firing on all cylinders during this run, and this cover alone makes a compelling case for picking up issue #27.
