Matt and Mindy are having an affair but things may change when the Owl's men destroy the bookstore in a fire and Thomas is almost injured. Later, Matt goes to police HQ to meet with Joey Carraro, who has broken his parole. While he's there, the rogue detectives attack Detective North again, this time in a shootout. Matt intervenes so that no one dies, but even though he's masked, North realizes who he is. Elektra offers her help.
