“The Imitation of Life Part Five: Regeneration”

In "The Imitation of Life Part Five: Regeneration," Cyborg reconnects with the community, bonding with a group of disabled veterans who look up to him as a symbol of resilience. Meanwhile, the CIA enlists Dr. Stone’s team to save a severely injured agent by transforming her into a cyborg—unbeknownst to them, the doctor they’re working with is a doppelgänger with hidden motives, while the real Dr. Stone is imprisoned by a mysterious man/machine hybrid. Written by John Semper Jr. and illustrated by Allan Jefferson, with inks by Scott Hanna and Derec Donovan, colors by Guy Major, and letters by Rob Leigh, this 2017 issue features a cover by Paul Pelletier and Tony Kordos.

Victor takes some time with Blue to get to know the neighborhood and befriends a group of disabled veterans who consider Cyborg to be a role model. The CIA asks Dr. Stone and his team to save the life of a female CIA Agent who was severely injured in a bombing by turning her into a female cyborg. Unknown to all, Dr. Stone has been replaced by his doppelganger who has his own motivations for going through with the procedure, while the real Dr. Stone is held captive by a man/machine hybrid.
