“Home Run Horror!”

"Home Run Horror!" delivers a delightfully absurd twist on superheroics, as a wave of monsters descends on Triple-A baseball parks across the country—starting with a surprise attack at a game in Albuquerque. With the Mole Man at the center of the chaos, Mister Fantastic steps in not with force, but with a surprisingly heartfelt pitch for inclusion, leading to a surprising showdown at the Bricktown Showdown. Written by Marc Sumerak and brought to life with bold, dynamic art by Mario Gully, this free 2008 Marvel issue blends quirky humor and heroic empathy, all under the striking cover by John Watson.

Several superheroes are attending a Triple A baseball game in Albuquerque when several monsters attack. The next day the Mole Man attacks at another Triple A baseball game in Memphis, and other creatures attack at all 30 Triple-A baseball parks. Mister Fantastic convinces Mole Man that he doesn't have to attack or create his own team to enjoy baseball, and then later takes Mole Man to the Bricktown Showdown (the Triple-A baseball championship game).
