An older man murders his wife after she finds out he has fallen in love with a younger woman named Joyce. He steals some money from the company and heads to South America to lay low telling Joyce he will be back for her when this blows over. After years pass, he returns to America and finds out that Joyce had been convicted and executed for the murder of his wife. Why? Because Joyce's fingerprints were on the letter opener she gave him as a gift. The same letter opener he used to kill his wife!
