One story follows a man who becomes mysteriously involved in the disappearance of his wife Grace, interviewing townspeople about her fate and discovering a sinister connection to a missing person named Charlie who vanished into thin air. Another tale involves aliens landing on Earth with a cryptic warning message; the pilot Larry and military personnel decode the extraterrestrial transmission, which cautions humanity about dangerous threats to Earth's safety. A third story features a protagonist trapped in a shack who encounters a Geiger counter and attempts to repair it, only to have a supernatural entity named Tirga—a master criminal from a thousand years in the future—materialize before him, revealing a time-travel connection between their machines.
In "From Out of the Past!", three smug paleontologists stumble upon a dig site that upends everything they thought they knew—unearthing a museum built by prehistoric man, filled with fossil bones beyond imagination. The discovery challenges their understanding of history, leaving them face to face with a past they never expected to find.
Barney Marlin, a Hollywood stunt man, takes a salvaged spacecraft up for a movie shoot—but when he presses an unfamiliar button out of curiosity, the ship lurches through swirling clouds and emerges over a world unlike anything he's ever seen. Stranded in this strange dimension filled with hostile plant life and alien beings, Barney discovers that his careless moment has landed him somewhere far more real, and far more dangerous, than any film set.
In "One Night!", a man sentenced to die on the distant planet Antares is granted one final night to live—any wish granted, any comfort he desires. He uses the time to send a desperate message to the ship captain, hoping for a rescue that might come too late. But when the escape begins, the captain reveals a staggering truth: one night on Antares is 93 years on Earth.
