Creepy Things #3

Charlton's horror anthology returns with issue #3 of Creepy Things, and Tom Sutton's cover art sets an unsettling tone right away — a massive, wide-eyed creature with a gaping maw is pinned beneath a lattice of bones and stakes, while a swarm of pale, featureless humanoid figures surround and climb over it, spears in hand, against a mushroom-dotted alien landscape. A small inset panel in the upper left teases one of the issue's characters, hinting at the strange stories waiting inside. With interior work by the prolific Joe Gill and Steve Ditko, this 1975 Charlton offering delivers the kind of eerie, imaginative content that made the title a welcome addition to the horror-comics shelf.
