Haunted #62

Charlton's Baron Weirwulf's Haunted Library delivers another satisfying chill with issue #62, featuring a cover by Mitch O'Connell that perfectly captures the series' cozy-dread appeal: a young blonde woman sits absorbed in a book, blissfully unaware of the leering, green-skinned ghoul looming through the window behind her. The juxtaposition of domestic comfort and lurking horror is exactly what this anthology does best, and with "The Vampire of Hanover" inside — written, drawn, inked, and lettered entirely by Pat Boyette — fans of old-school supernatural storytelling are in very good hands.
