Dark Horse's revival of Creepy reaches its sixth issue with a cover by Jason Shawn Alexander that earns every word of the tagline "The Finest in Illustrated Horror" — a blood-spattered clown steps forward from a darkened doorway, his hollow eyes and red-smeared costume making clear this is no birthday party entertainer. The promise of "48 Pages of Fiendish Fiction" includes Joe R. Lansdale's story "Mine," illustrated by Nathan Fox, offering readers a substantial serving of the anthology horror the series does so well. If that grinning, gore-flecked face peering from the bottom corner of the cover doesn't sell you, the tagline "You'll Die Laughing" just might seal the deal.
